Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, you'll ensure critical decisions are grounded in insight, accuracy, and strategic foresight.This is more than a reporting role — it's a strategic position that drives capability, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement across DOC's investment portfolio.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance narratives to support effective governance at project, programme and enterprise (SLT) level and prioritisation decisionsDeliver trend analysis and portfolio-wide insights that inform long-term planning and investment decisionsSupport the use of the portfolio management tool (a custom-built solution for managing and reporting on complex projects and programmes) and provide expert support across the businessStrive for continuous improvement, identify opportunities, risks, and key improvement areas using data to evidence recommendationsWork alongside the EPMO and wider DOC teams to build analytical capabilityCollaborate with internal leaders and ensure transparent, insightful, and responsive portfolio performance communicationEngage with key internal delivery partners to develop and deliver reporting solutionsNga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experienceMinimum 5 years' experience in data analysis, reporting, or portfolio performance rolesProficient in Power BI, Excel, and other Microsoft Suite tools for data visualisation and reportingProven experience in designing and building Power BI dashboards and reports with experience working with data warehousesStrong ability to connect and integrate data from multiple sourcesPrior experience working with Microsoft Dynamics and Snowflake is preferredSkilled in interpreting complex data to produce concise, actionable insights for decision-makersWell-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions(Desirable) exposure to project portfolio management tools and performance monitoring frameworks such as Power Automate and Power AppsMo te tima | About the teamThe Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) sits within the Organisation Support Group.
