Job Overview
The role focuses on application support for the HR and payroll business domain across SAP Successfactors, Employee Central Payroll and other platforms, with an emphasis on the payroll system. Responsibilities include project / module implementation, system maintenance, configuration, testing, end‑user support, and implementation of new functions / modules. The candidate will work closely with IT colleagues, the user community, external vendors, and stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Management : Lead or participate in the overall technical delivery of module / function implementation, including procurement, requirements gathering, technical evaluation, solution design, build, configuration, documentation, testing, and go‑live.
- Evaluate potential solutions and recommend to management and business users.
- Create and review project artefacts and deliverables to ensure quality and compliance with NUS guidelines and policies.
- Support procurement activities, including tender specifications, vendor evaluation and recommendation, and contract management.
- Coordinate with vendor partners to deliver products and services per contract.
- Collaborate with teams integrating other applications (e.g., SAP S / 4HANA, SAP Employee Central Payroll).
- Maintain, configure, test, and support HR and payroll systems, primarily the payroll system.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and propose functional and technical solutions.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support, ensuring SLA compliance.
- Deliver enhancements and bug fixes, manage service requests, and troubleshoot issues.
- Manage audit queries and ensure audit and security compliance.
- Work on annual IT project planning and enhancement prioritization with business users.
- Lead a team, optimizing manpower resources while maintaining a healthy team morale.
Qualifications
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.At least 10 years in a technical role within the IT industry, with a minimum of 3 years in project management.3–5 years of experience supporting or managing SAP Successfactors, Employee Central Payroll, or an ERP payroll system.Strong technical knowledge of SAP Successfactors, Employee Central Payroll, and Cloud Platform.Knowledge of OpenText Enterprise Content Management, Dropbox Sign, Mobile Applications, or Application Development using Business Technology Platform is an advantage.Strong grasp of IT technologies, methodologies, architectures, and best practices.Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex requirements and issues clearly and concisely.Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Self‑starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Team player, proactive, fast learner, highly organized, and positive attitude.PMP or CITPM certification is an advantage.Experience in higher education industry is a bonus.More Information
