We are seeking a Kaiarahi tae Pakeke - Clinical Nurse Specialist Maori for Older Adults to join our team and lead with a strong Te Tiriti o Waitangi and matauranga Maori focus.This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in Maori health and contribute to transformative change in the care of older Maori adults.Please note : As this is a fixed-term position, the core focus of the role will be within the hospital setting.
The successful applicant will work across Kenepuru, Wellington, and Hutt Valley Hospitals, supporting whanau, and clinical teams on-site to deliver high-quality, equitable care.Join us in leading with manaakitanga, equity, and excellence.About the Team / Service LocationWhanau Care Services supports Maori whanau throughout their health journey, ensuring culturally safe, equitable care across Kenepuru, Wellington and Hutt Valley hospitals.
Based in both Wellington and Hutt Hospitals, the team connects whanau with appropriate services, advocates for their needs, and strengthens relationships between health providers and Maori and Community Primary Care providers.
We work closely with whanau and clinical services to deliver coordinated, whanau-centred support.
By influencing service design and delivery, Whanau Care Services helps shape a health system that reflects Maori values and aspirations, improving outcomes and empowering whanau both in hospital and at home.About youIntegrate Te Ao Maori perspectives with advanced nursing practice to deliver high-quality, culturally responsive care.Champion equity and excellence in health outcomes for Pakeke Maori (older Maori adults).
