Assistant Lead Analyst - Business Intelligence (Data Analytics & AI)The role is critical in supporting the project by : understanding and gathering requirements from business users;clearly documenting them in comprehensive business requirement specs;collaborating closely with the technical team to ensure the delivered outcomes align with the defined requirements and project scopeproviding guidance and support to junior team members throughout the project lifecycle.Role & ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and translate user requirement analysis into extraction, transformation and loading rules for the development / implementation of new data mart application systems and for enhancements to existing systems relating to existing data warehouseWork with data engineers to develop new or enhance existing data models on the new data mart application systems based on user requirementsLead the identification and documentation of business attributes and metrics by analyzing existing data and report requirementsHelp in identification and perform technical data mapping potential sources of data for the data warehouseOversee testing of data acquisition processes and their implementation into productionAct as consultant in the review of extraction, loading and transformation (ETL) rulesEvaluate potential solutions relating to business intelligence and data warehouse and make recommendations to resolve business problemsAssist in establishing a set of consistent BI skills, standards, and best practice as well as the evaluation of BI and analytical softwareInvolvement in the system integration testing phase prior to implementationLiaise closely with vendors and project team members in project implementation, application testing, supporting application patches and upgrades in accordance with project methodologies and policiesSupport the team in defining, tracking and documentation of the technical deliverables expectedCollaborate with cross-functional teams including business units, data engineers, and project managersSupport ongoing enhancements and troubleshooting of reports and dashboardsProvide guidance and coaching to junior team membersRequirementsDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalentMinimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst working with data warehouses and BI toolsA thorough understanding of data warehouse and data lakehouse principles and design guidelines is also expected with past implementation of a data warehouse and data lakehouse of data mart applicationStrong SQL skills, with experience using Databricks SQL.Proficient in Tableau, including data source preparation and schema design, data blending and joins, extract creation and data source optimization, building dashboards and visualizations.Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems with reports and ETL processesExperience in all phases of the BI project lifecycleStrong analytical skills and ability to work independentlyExcellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business users.Experience in healthcare industry is an added advantageApply NowClick Enter to update the description of Apply Now
