Work Location : Hamilton

Employment type : Full time (guaranteed 30 hours / per week, Tuesday to Sunday), Permanent

Our pay : $25-$27.76 per hour depending on skills

We are a well-established popular restaurant based in Hamilton

To enhance our team, we are now looking for 2 cooks to join our team. We are expecting someone who has a passion for food, attention to details, ability to multi task and be a proactive member of the team.

Ideal candidates should have at least 2 year’s work experience in cooking at commercial kitchen, or have a relevant level 4 qualification in cookery or equivalent certificates.

You are required to :

• Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Checking ingredients to make sure the quality and freshness
• Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in various utensils and grillers
• Seasoning, portioning, adding sauces to the dish during / after cooking
• Preparing food to meet client’s taste and dietary needs
• Storing and reserving food to the right temperature and facilities
• Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
• Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Assisting in planning menus, estimating food and labour costs
• Assisting with training and supervising kitchen staff whenever required
