Fiordland Lobster Company is dedicated to the sustainable fishing and live export of wild-caught Southern Rock Lobster (New Zealand crayfish). 35 years after its creation, the company remains New Zealand’s largest exporter of high-quality lobster — a business built on excellence, innovation, and long-term partnerships.

Based in Rolleston, this role reports to the Head of Supply Chain and will play a pivotal part in optimising planning, reporting, and business processes across the end-to-end supply chain. You’ll work cross-functionally to drive efficiency, improve visibility, and enable data-led decision-making that supports Fiordland Lobster’s continued growth and operational excellence.

This position suits an analytically minded and influential supply chain or operations professional who thrives on problem-solving, collaboration, and driving tangible improvement in complex, fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Business Partnering & Reporting : Deliver insightful monthly reviews, dashboards, and analytical tools that support data-driven decision-making and empower a self-service reporting culture.
• Process Improvement : Champion continuous improvement across processes, systems, and reporting accuracy, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and operational performance.
• Supply Chain Planning : Lead and optimise Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) activities across supply, demand, resource, and transport functions.
• Process Design & Transformation : Review, simplify, and digitise core operational processes — developing SOPs, workflows, and embedding lean principles to achieve operational excellence.
• Asset Management : Develop and implement integrated asset management strategies for plant, fleet, and equipment, supporting lifecycle optimisation and digitisation initiatives.
• Supply Chain Roadmap : Support the Head of Supply Chain in delivering roadmap projects and initiatives that drive long-term capability and improvement.
