• About the role
• The Relationship Manager Language Assistance Services Programme is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with government agencies and language service providers to deliver on the strategic objectives and overall outcomes of the programme.This role is also responsible for the ongoing management and associated management activities of significant government contracts with language service providers, for the purpose of ensuring the commercial and economic performance of our contracts.
• About you
• Managing constructive working relationships with external stakeholders and colleagues to enhance understanding and cooperation needed to achieve desired results.
• Managing a portfolio of significant contracts, including collaborative contracts, with language service providers of services to the Government.
• Identifying the needs or expectations of customers, particularly MBIE (as Programme lead and contracts' lead agency) and other participating agencies.
• Ensuring language service providers are aware of the service delivery strategies and requirements of the Unit, and adequately and consistently meet these.
• The ideal candidate for this role will have
• The ability to build and maintain robust strategic relationships and influence others through creating engagement, demonstrating credibility and engendering trust.
• Experience in contract management, with experience in all of government and other collaborative contracts preferable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in New Zealand government procurement and property rules and contracting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to clearly, confidently and engagingly present ideas and information.The Ministry for Ethnic Communities is the Government's chief advisor on ethnic communities, ethnic diversity, and the inclusion of ethnic communities in wider society.
