Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic, skilled, and fast thinking Physiotherapist with a passion for working in the Emergency Care Department (ED) and Admissions & Diagnostic Unit (ADU) to join our inpatient services at Waitakere Hospital, Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora Waitemata.

This is a part time role, in which you will be working alongside an established inter-disciplinary team providing early assessment, discharge planning and interventions to patients in the ED services and across the acute inpatient wards.We have a lot to offer you : (see link to Position Description for full details)Excellent support from leadership, and other senior clinicians in all areas of practiceSupport for development and growth clinically and professionally through personal objectives.Education to assist the support of junior and staff grade staff with clinical development and supervision.A hardworking, supportive, and fun environment with a great team of experienced cliniciansIn-house career development with regular in-services, training, and education opportunitiesNetworking with allied health clinical leaders, senior, staff grade and rotational clinicians across the organisation.Opportunities to contribute to service delivery and quality improvement projects.Regular professional supervision from experienced cliniciansAbout the Team / Service / LocationYou will be joining an organisation that is forward thinking, innovative and values your contributions.Te Whatu Ora Waitemata is leading the way in the Northland region in digital innovation with electronic patient notes, e-prescribing and e-vitals and have strong links with our community and outpatient services.About youNew Zealand registered Physiotherapist with current APC5+ years relevant inpatient experienceStrong teaching, communication, leadership and coaching skills to work alongside staff to support and develop their clinical reasoning and autonomy.Experience in service development and quality improvement projects.Effective leadership and people skillsStrong role model with advanced communication skillsExcellent assessment and time management skillsCommitment to achieving the ED / ADU national wait times of less than 6 hours target.Experience working with older adults within emergency department and acute inpatient environment.Experience with leadership / senior roles in the past or presentHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
