• About the Role
• We are looking for a Physiotherapist to work in our Early Discharge and Rehabilitation Service (EDARS). In this role you will provide a comprehensive and coordinated home-based rehabilitation service for people in the Waitematā community. The service delivers individually prescribed rehabilitation to patients, based on their specific needs and goals via either intensive early supported discharge or less intensive community-based rehabilitation to adults in Waitematā.
• About the Team / Service / Location
• This part time (0.6 FTE) role is based at the Waitakere Hospital Community Allied Health offices. You will need to be available on Tuesdays for our weekly IDT meeting at 0800 otherwise for part-timers, hours can be negotiated. You will be working as part of an established interdisciplinary team providing best practice home based rehabilitation through a patient centred approach to adults of all ages. EDARS provides rehabilitation for adults recovering from non-ACC health conditions such as : acute neurological conditions / surgeries, post-stroke, people with recent amputations, and reconditioning following medical-illness.

• About you
• As a Physiotherapist you should have :
• New Zealand registered Physiotherapist with current APC
• 3+ years relevant rehabilitation experience
• Teaching and communication skills to work alongside staff to support and develop their clinical reasoning and autonomy.
• Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to show initiative and work autonomously
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Excellent assessment and time management skills
• Ideally experience working with patients with neurological and / or rehabilitation needs
• Drivers license is essentialPlease for position description
