About the RoleWe're offering a 34-hour role in a busy, upbeat café.

You'll be cooking high-quality cabinet and short-order food in a supportive team environment.

Generous staff purchase scheme at select Columbus Cafés and Mitre 10 stores

No night shifts – café hours are 7 : 00am to 4 : 00pm

Ongoing development and career opportunities within the wider business

Based in Warkworth – must live locally

Applicants must reside in or near one of the following areas : Ara Hills, Hatfield's Beach, Kaipara Flats, Leigh, Mahurangi East / West, Makarau, Matakana, Omaha, Pakiri, Point Wells, Sandspit, Snells Beach, Ti Point, Whangateau, or Whangaripo.

Applicants outside of these areas will not be considered.

What You'll Bring

At least 2 years previous cooking or baking experience (ideally in a café)

Understanding of Food Control Plans (FCP) and Health & Safety requirements

Experience in a fast-paced kitchen (preferred)

Flexible availability – able to work at least 1 weekend day (Saturday preferred) and public holidays

Clear and confident communication skills

Excellent customer service and teamwork skills

A genuine passion for food and café culture
