About the Role

We're looking for a skilled and passionate

Café Chef / Café Cook

to join our Whangaparaoa team.

This is a

35-hour-per-week

position with

no night shifts

(7 : 30 am – 3 : 00 pm), based inside Mitre 10 Whangaparaoa in Stanmore Bay.

What You'll Bring

Proven ability to run a café kitchen independently as the sole chef / cook, ideally with experience in a café environment

Strong organisational skills to manage prep, cooking, and service seamlessly

Knowledge of Food Control Plans (FCP) and Health & Safety requirements

Creativity in menu execution while working within café guidelines

Ability to adapt quickly to changing service demands and priorities

Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen

Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach

Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays

Ideally, you'll live locally or within a reasonable commute to Whangaparaoa for reliability and flexibility
