Rn Team Leader - Operating Theatres

RN Team Leader - Operating Theatres at Allevia Hospitals (Epsom) – a new position due to service growth and the opening of 10 state-of-the-art operating theatres.This is a full-time 1.0 FTE role, working afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday, 12 : 30–21 : 00 (12.30pm – 9.00pm).

Hours may change in future according to business needs.

This is a great opportunity for a perioperative RN looking to take the first step into a leadership position.

The role blends people management with operational leadership, with you acting as the clinical expert and the go-to person on your shift.ResponsibilitiesRunning the department in the latter hours of the dayDirecting workforce utilisationProviding on-floor support for staff and specialistsEnsuring efficient communication with wards, external couriers, main reception, cleaners, blood bank, pathology, and other teamsPlanning for the next day and coordinating operating room activitiesTo Succeed You\'ll NeedStrong experience as a theatre RN scrubbing for a variety of surgical cases (e.g., General, Orthopaedics, ENT, Plastics, Cardiac) within a NZ hospital or similar environmentExperience supervising OR services and / or peopleStrong coordination and delegation skills; the ability to think on your feet and make effective decisionsA positive attitude and professional maturityAbility to build positive relationships with all Operating Room staff including Surgeons and AnaesthetistsThe BenefitsYou will enjoy a supportive working environment, autonomy of practice, competitive pay rates, free car parking, access to internal leadership development programme, employee assistance program (EAP), and festive-season considerations.About UsWe\'re part of the Allevia Health group and New Zealand\'s largest private surgical facility with 25 theatres across 3 sites.
