As part of the transport team you will be responsible for the operational coordination of your carriers, ensuring that our customer work is booked up efficiently and effectively. Working with your carrier ensuring operational processes are adhered to, supporting both cost and service metrics. Your main responsibilities Responsible for the coordination of your carriers ensuring their adherence to agreed service levels and operational metrics. You will be accountable for operational KBIs, balancing cost with the delivery of service excellence to customers. Looking for, and finding opportunities to remove complexity and reduce cost without jeopardizing service levels. You will engage with a wide range of colleagues across internal and external Supply Chain to ensure all objectives are achieved, embracing and driving team working and flexibility to support the achievement of the team and business unit. The delivery of key projects and Customer Logistics programmes, sharing and replicating best practice with colleagues to improve processes and work through issues to resolution. Skill requirements / Competencies Preferably have experience of working in a logistics environment. Proficient in Microsoft Excel to include, vlookups and pivot tables. Great relationship building skills with internal contacts and accounts. Ability to work as a team in a fast paced environment. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to maintain and make sound, timely decisions, without losing sight of the bigger picture. The closing date for applications is 13 / 11 / 25.
