Mainfreight Metro Christchurch are looking for a new person to step into a Transport Manager role!

The role :

A great opportunity has become available for a successful applicant to join our team as our Transport Manager.

Your role will be managing the fleet of Owners Drivers and Company drivers ensuring they are compliant and safe out on our roads, plus supporting the dispatch team.

This role requires a driven, self-motivated person who has the desire to succeed. You will need to be a focused, strong-willed, passionate team player who works well under pressure, thrives on a challenge and has an eye for detail.

We are looking for a new team member who can :

• Build and manage relationships with our Owner Driver Fleet.
• Manage a team with a great foundation.
• Ensure we meet the KPI’s that we set ourselves each day.
• Have an unwavering drive for quality in everything we do.
• Being active in our depot each day, this is definitely not a sit behind a desk role.
• Understanding what drives cost and where we can gain efficiency.
• Being comfortable in making timely decisions and living by them.
• A willingness to actively engage with our customers.
