He Waka Tapu is a Kaupapa Māori organisation who have been supporting individuals and the community for 30 years. He Waka Tapu works to increase the health and wellbeing of Whānau.
About the role
We are recruiting to fill two Whānau Intervention Practitioner – Tāne Ora roles across both Ōtautahi (Christchurch) and Hakatere (Ashburton). Specifically :
The Whānau Intervention Practitioner – Tāne Ora roles are crucial in providing support to men who are seeking positive life changes, helping to prevent further family violence and guiding them towards positive pathways.
Kaimahi in these roles will build strong, trusting relationships with tāne and their whānau, co-facilitating Kaupapa māori based programmes that support tāne to reflect, heal and develop new behaviours grounded in accountability, respect and growth.
