We have an exciting opportunity for an AM Operations Supervisor to join our Auckland Parcels team. Days and shift : Monday – Friday (rostered Saturdays), 3am – 11.30am.
About The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and direction of freight handling, staff training and related activities to provide quality service to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Mentor, train, and develop the team
- Own the takeover and handover of shifts
- Lead daily team huddles to drive target performance
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers
- Efficient use and allocation of fleet
- Manage fleet, drivers, and dispatch
- Administration, monitoring, and KPI reporting
- Assist with continuous improvement of KPIs
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements
- Cover shifts when required
Qualifications & Requirements
NZ Full Class 1 Drivers License (clean) – requiredMinimum 3+ years in the transport / logistics industryUnderstanding of operational costingProven ability in leading Health and SafetyForklift licenseKnowledge of Dangerous Goods practice and procedureKnowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and Transport lawGeographical knowledge of the North IslandGood understanding of IT systems and MS Office suite (Power BI a bonus)Benefits
