The Deposit Operations Manager oversees EIM processing, ACH administration, Reg.
E claims, department quality control, deposit system maintenance, escheatment, and all other non-lending backroom operations.
Provides leadership of staff development and implementation of new, more efficient and effective processing approaches for meeting the goals and objectives of the Bank.
Leads the development, implementation, and administration of policies and procedures.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee the servicing of customer accounts and ensures changes are completed timely.Ensure return checks are processed daily in order to avoid losses to the bank for late return.Oversee ACH Administration of all returns, pre-notes, NOC's daily.Oversee daily exception item processing (NSF, charge back, stop payment and credit backs).
Ensure EIM reconciliation is completed daily.Ensure staff is preparing cash related reconciliations timely and accurately.Ensure pre-notes and NOC's are processed timely.Ensure SSI and AVS are completed timely and accurately.Ensure staff is handling branch / customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.Ensure staff is reviewing and settling required reports daily.Ensure staff is processing Reg.
E claims on a timely basis.Ensure large item review is performed daily and any returns needed are handled timely.Ensure all tasks and Track-IT tickets are assigned and completed timely.Responsible for the quality control of work within Deposit Operations.Responsible for training, coaching, disciplinary action, and conducting performance reviews.Work with the SVP – Security & Central Operations Officer and Information Technology department to ensure that systems are working properly.Responsible for numerous projects stemming from growth of the bank.Gather data needed from Deposit Operations for audit and exam requests / review.Review audit findings and help prepare any necessary audit responses.Annually, prepare the Escheatment report.
Performs due diligence of accounts prior to escheatment.Responsible for creating and providing management reports.Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Work collaboratively with various bank departments to identify opportunities for technological improvement or enhancement and advocate for common solutions.Continuously seek operational and process efficiencies to improve the employee experience, reduce workload impact and provide consistent or superior results.Other ResponsibilitiesSupport and promote the Bank vision, mission and core values, organizational structure and policies and procedures.Must have excellent analysis, observation and decision-making skills.Highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities and ensure resources are properly aligned.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for maintaining effective relationships with Board members, officers, employees, and members of the business and civic community.Individual should be able to work under high pressure situations and a stressful atmosphere and remain composed.Provides a strong, compassionate and visible leadership, which fosters positive attitudes and trust among employees, customers, and prospects.Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws and regulations.
