You will be responsible forensuring the delivery of prompt, efficient and patient focused service at DCCM.The orderly role in DCCM is integral to the team for a wide range of tasks supporting the intensive environment.
The Special Duty orderly is responsible for covering other orderlies for leaveThisrole will includedirect patient care under supervision of the ICU Registered Nurses and other Health Professionals.
Other role duties include : Responsibility for inter-department specimen and item deliveriesDisposal of sharps buckets, linens and rubbishRe-stocking equipmentAssisting with transporting, lifting and washing of our patients.Our intensive care patients require regular turning and mobilisation to prevent complications of their illness, so youmustbe physically fit to assist.The successful candidate will also have : Orderly experience in a New Zealand HospitalExcellent interpersonal and time-management skillsGood communication skills in both oral and written EnglishFlexibility to be rostered to cover leaveRight to work in New Zealand at time of application (New Zealand Citizenship or New Zealand Residency)We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand.
