About the role :

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered or senior nurse to join our Ophthalmology Outpatient Service as the Clinical Nurse Coordinator. If you already have ophthalmology experience and ready to take that next step this may be the opportunity for you.

We are seeking a dynamic, motivated nurse with strong interpersonal and leadership skills. You will be competent with providing clinical review, coordinating of ophthalmology service delivery, and work together with the multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate, safe and timely care is received by the patient.

You will be required to assist the Charge Nurse Manager with the management of clinic resources and schedules to ensure effective and efficient use of clinic resources to best meet the needs of Counties Manukau communities. In addition to this you will also provide clinical guidance and leadership to other healthcare professionals e.g. nursing, technical and medical colleagues, relating to the complex needs of patients, and their families / whaanau with ophthalmic conditions.

This role is based at Manukau Health Park and has a direct report to the Service Manager, Ophthalmology, SAPS (Surgery, Anaesthesia and Perioperative Services).
