We’re looking for a motivated Project Planner to join our team in Christchurch. This role would be perfect for someone who has experience in construction planning and scheduling, or experience in the construction industry as a project manager or similar looking to make a career change into project planning and controls.
You’ll work collaboratively with clients and colleagues to solve complex challenges, develop robust schedules, and deliver high-quality advice that drives project success. You’ll also be part of a supportive, innovative team committed to learning, professional growth, and delivering real value to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll support Senior Project Planners with scheduling, including resource management, cost control, risk control and project delivery.
Establish and maintain project programmes, monitor progress, and produce high-quality performance reports.
Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Advise on project governance, delivery models, and procurement strategies.
Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring open communication and shared success.
You’ll work on a variety of large-scale infrastructure projects which impact NZ.

What you’ll bring
Proven experience and ability in project controls, development and forecasting including risk management, cost management and applied earned value metrics on projects.
Demonstrated experience in project planning and scheduling.
Experience working in the built environment.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a team-focused approach.
Hands-on experience with tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and Asta Powerproject.
