Money Laundering Investigator

With a strong commitment to compliance, security, and trust, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Money Laundering Investigator to join our compliance team.The Money Laundering Investigator will play a crucial role in protecting Payplus against financial crime, fraud, and regulatory risks.

This role is responsible for identifying, investigating, and reporting suspicious activities related to money laundering and terrorist financing, ensuring compliance with international and local AML / CTF regulations.

Transaction Monitoring & Analysis

• Review alerts generated by AML monitoring systems for unusual or suspicious activities.
• Perform in-depth investigations into customer transactions, patterns, and behaviours.
• Analyse client profiles, investment patterns, and financial transactions to identify unusual or suspicious activities.
• Conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD) on high-risk customers and merchants.
• Escalate and document cases that warrant further review.

Qualifications & Experience

At least a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, or a related discipline.

Minimum 2–5 years' experience in risk investigations, compliance, financial crime, or fraud detection within banking, payments, or fintech.

Strong understanding of AML / CTF regulations, FATF standards, and local jurisdiction requirements.

Experience with AML monitoring tools, transaction surveillance systems, and case management platforms.

Strong research, analytical, and investigative skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

Excellent report-writing and communication skills; ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
