OverviewOur client is an established business that operates in a technical B2B sales environment.

Privately owned, the business is profitable with a consistent record of steady growth and has an enviable reputation for both quality and client service supplying to the private and public sectors.The business is now seeking to recruit a Managing Director to accelerate the pace of growth, which could be achieved organically, and potentially through strategic acquisition.

The opportunities are very material in every sense.ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to shareholders, the Managing Director will be responsible for helping formulate and execute strategy to drive growth.Achievement of agreed targets will be amply rewarded in the form of performance related bonuses, with potential equity involvement further down the track.Although based on Tyneside, travel will be required to a UK wide customer base to facilitate the drive for growth.Candidate profile / QualificationsPotential candidates have been involved in a business where growth has been high on the agenda, ideally achieved in a B2B environment where sales can be driven by face to face meeting, public sector procurement frameworks and SEO optimisation.Applicants should already be in a senior management role, and may have progressed through a sales, technical or operations route, although this need not be definitive.You should be able to demonstrate the ability to formulate and execute strategically, whilst leadership qualities are taken as given.Opportunity and RemunerationThis represents an outstanding opportunity for a person to make their mark on an established business, take it to the next level, and ultimately be rewarded for value creation.It is envisaged that basic salary will be in the £80,000 to £100,000 pa range, with performance related bonuses, but will not be a barrier for the right candidate.
