Dairy Shop Manager

We are a dairy shop in South Waikato.

We are now seeking a manager to oversee and manage the daily operations, including staff supervision, stock management, customer service, and ensuring profitability. The role involves delivering efficient store performance while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate daily store operations to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

• Promote and advertise in-store products and set pricing for promotion

Manage and lead staff , including recruitment, training, rostering, and performance monitoring.

Determine product mix & quantities, and source goods from suppliers, wholesalers, and distributors, and negotiate the prices.

Monitor and maintain stock levels , including ordering, receiving, displaying, and rotating products, with a focus on groceries, fresh produce, dairy, and general goods.

Implement and enforce stock control measures to minimise waste, expiry, and theft.

Supervise cash handling procedures , including POS operations, end-of-day reconciliation, and banking.

Maintain store presentation and cleanliness , including merchandising and promotional displays.

Provide excellent customer service and respond to enquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required :

At least 2 years’ experience working in retrail industry.

Sound understanding of retail operations, stock control, and sales analysis .

Good customer service and communication skills.

Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems

Ability to work flexible hours , including weekends and public holidays.

Additional Requirements :

Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.

Able to handle stock, lifting, and long working hours.
