The Disability Support Services (DSS) Group is responsible for commissioning, funding, and stewarding high-quality services that support disabled people, their families, and whanau.
We're building leadership and management capacity across our teams to deliver both change and business-as-usual effectively.
We work closely with providers, stakeholders, and communities to ensure services are fair, consistent, transparent and sustainable.

About the role | Mo te tunga :
We have two exciting opportunities available, a Senior Analyst Payments and Monitoring, and a Senior Analyst.
Both roles are ideal for those passionate about data, impact, and continuous improvement.
As the Senior Analyst you'll monitor and analyse service delivery and payment data to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contracts and financial controls.
Key responsibilities include :
Extracting, transforming and analysing financial and service delivery data
Designing and delivering clear, accessible reporting for varied audiences
Monitoring payment schedules and resolving discrepancies
Preparing data for audits and identifying risks and improvement areas
Improving data systems and reporting processes using modern systems
Managing your own work priorities and contribute to wider team projects
Building collaborative relationships with stakeholders and data requesters
Mentoring other analysts and supporting best practice across the team
Responding to ad-hoc data requests including OIAs and Ministerial queries

Experience in presenting insights clearly for non-technical audiences
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems
Previous experience analysing data to inform business decisions
Proficient in BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with Power Query and VBA experience desirable
Experience with Snowflake and git desirable
Proven stakeholder engagement skills across diverse business areas
Experience with SAS, SQL, R or Python for data manipulation and analysis
Excellent time management, attention to detail, and sound judgement
Collaborative team player with mentoring experience
