Job description

Lead procurement insights and digital innovation to deliver better outcomes for Aotearoa. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity in Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch, with a salary of $152,164 per annum, plus 5 weeks' annual leave and a suite of benefits.

As a Senior Procurement Analyst at Kāinga Ora, you will play a critical role in driving procurement excellence across one of New Zealand's largest public sector organisations. This role is about turning data into insight, leading procurement reporting, analytics, workflow optimisation, and business process mapping, while championing emerging technologies including AI, automation, and digital tools.

You will be joining the Strategy, Finance and Policy Group, supporting our organisation to deliver housing and community outcomes for all New Zealanders.

We are looking for someone with :

  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business Analysis, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 7 years' experience in procurement or commercial performance roles, ideally in complex or public sector environments.
  • Expertise in data analysis, spend reporting, and performance benchmarking.
  • Proficiency with reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI and SQL.
  • Strong business process mapping and workflow design experience.
  • The ability to turn complex data into meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Strong advisory and stakeholder engagement skills with senior leaders.
  • Experience with procurement systems, data governance, and digital enablement.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS or MS PowerApps is desirable.
