This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Planner or Delay Analyst looking to advance their career within a claim's consultancy.The roleYou will work on a diverse range of commissions, either based in Rimkus's office or on-site with clients.
Your role will span project advisory, claims consulting, and expert services.
You will have the opportunity to support our Experts in drafting independent reports, prepare claims for contractors, and provide planning, scheduling, and project controls to our clients.As a senior member of our team, you will take ownership of client relationships and oversee their day-to-day needs.Responsibilities include but are not limited to : Provide planning leadership to clients, offering direction on tenders and contracts.Ensure clients\' tender and contractual requirements are understood and met, particularly in project planning, resource allocation, and progress reporting.Manage and contribute technical expertise to the preparation, implementation, and presentation of complex and sensitive planning projects.Develop and lead planning and design strategies to enhance existing commissions.Collaborate with client finance teams to ensure accurate cost reporting and compliance with financial policies.Prepare technical reports and support Experts in drafting expert reports.Provide strategic recommendations to clients and assist Technical Directors / Experts on larger matters.Prepare EOT claims in accordance with NZ contract requirements.Assessment of submitted EOT claims on active projects.Identify and apply appropriate methodologies for claim assessments.Support the Regional Business Development Plan by identifying new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients.Mentor and guide junior team members to deliver high quality deliverables.Our RequirementsBachelor's degree in civil engineering, project management, construction management or a related fieldProficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar toolsStudying towards a professional accreditation with CIArb is preferredMinimum of 10 years post graduate experience working for a construction or engineering contractor or specialist claims consultancy.
Project delivery experience is essential.Experience working on contentious disputes is highly regarded, especially arbitration and / or other formal dispute resolution experienceExcellent writing skills with the ability to draft large sections of professional reportsAbility to communicate clearly and concisely to a non-technical audienceJoin Rimkus and unlock your potential with endless opportunities for growth, learning, and making a difference!
