Head Of Cyber Security Operations

OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced leader to take ownership of their Cyber Security Operations, providing strategic and operational leadership across a 24 / 7 Security Operations Centre (SOC).

This role is critical in protecting systems, data, people and brand by overseeing incident response, threat intelligence and operational excellence.

Oversee daily monitoring, detection, and response to security threats.

Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of new technologies and industry best practices.

Act as a key escalation point during cybersecurity incidents, guiding incident response and crisis management.

Collaborate with vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams to strengthen security capabilities.ResponsibilitiesLead and inspire a high-performing team within Cyber Security Operations.Oversee daily monitoring, detection, and response to security threats.Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of new technologies and industry best practices.Act as a key escalation point during cybersecurity incidents, guiding incident response and crisis management.Collaborate with vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams to strengthen security capabilities.About You5+ years' leadership or management experience within a SOC environment.Strong knowledge of frameworks and tools (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, EDR / XDR, SOAR / SIEM).

Hands-on experience with incident response processes and procedures.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to simplify complex issues.Proven ability to deliver projects in fast-paced, collaborative environments.Relevant degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security) and certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA or similar).
