Cyber Security Consulting
is a multi-disciplinary team that operates in an exciting and constantly changing environment. Our specialist team offer a broad range of services to support our clients by helping manage and respond to constantly evolving cyber threats :
Strategy and governance
: cyber maturity assessments, third party risk services, Virtual CISO on Demand, compliance assessments (e.g. PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2), security strategy development, security framework development, privacy assessments, security metrics and reporting.
Transformation
: security program delivery, security architecture design and review, identity and access management, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), security operations services.
Cyber defence
: penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, pre / post implementation controls reviews, cloud security services, disaster recovery and business continuity, insider threat services, security analytics, IoT security services.
Cyber response
: threat hunting, cyber response maturity assessments, incident response, threat intelligence.
The opportunity :
As a cyber security leader, you will partner with clients to assess their business strategies, understand their technology environments, and provide actionable recommendations to help them strengthen their ability to manage cyber risks and threats.
We are seeking a forward-thinking leader to help grow our cyber security practice in New Zealand. Experience in Identity Security is highly regarded and will be an advantage, but we welcome applicants with broad cyber security expertise.
Day to day you will :
Utilise your client service orientation and business development skills to add value for clients, foster long-term relationships, identify opportunities, develop thought leadership, lead client proposals, and grow team capabilities.
Plan, manage, and deliver cyber security engagements across a wide variety of sectors and organisations.
Apply your knowledge to other domains of cyber security, with the option to contribute expertise in Identity Security and related services.
Engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, developing collaborative relationships, integrating services, and working closely with specialists across the consulting team.
Uphold KPMG's reputation through the quality, expertise, judgement, and innovation you bring to your work.
Work comfortably at pace while maintaining high attention to detail across multiple projects simultaneously.
What you'll bring to our team :
15+ years of career experience, with at least 5 years in cyber security.
A track record of commercial acumen and the ability to identify and pursue opportunities for growth—whether by expanding existing clients / services or developing new relationships.
Experience in Identity Security (e.g. with Saviynt and / or Okta) is a strong advantage.
Recent experience in a client-facing cyber security role.
A well-established local and / or national professional network.
Demonstrated ability to grow and mentor teams.
Broad practical experience in helping organisations mature their cyber security capabilities.
A relevant tertiary qualification and industry certifications, including vendor accreditations.
Experience managing individuals at various levels and collaborating across service lines and technical disciplines
