Job Description

Due to an internal promotion, our Macraes Open Pit workshop team are on the search for a Serviceman. This role will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing daily servicing (fueling and lubrication) and planned maintenance of all mining machinery and ancillary plant / equipment under control of the open pit maintenance workshop. Additionally, the successful applicant will display a high degree of professionalism and quality workmanship to ensure that cost effective maintenance and repairs are delivered.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Maintain high levels of housekeeping of all facilities, equipment, and company vehicles.
• Apply Contamination Control methodologies for all work undertaken.
• Record and report usage of all components, parts, and other resources on work‑order job cards.
• Planned maintenance (servicing) of all mining, ancillary and support plant.
• Provide assistance to the fleet maintenance technicians and other workshop personnel.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) specified for equipment or tasks and be involved in the development and review / revision of procedures when required.
