The role

As we look to ramp up production in 2026, the Open Pit Maintenance team require 2 Boilermakers to join the team. The role involves safely and efficiently performing welding, general engineering and fabrication work as required, to repair and maintain machinery and ancillary plant / equipment. The emphasis is on working with a high degree of professionalism and quality workmanship to ensure that cost effective maintenance and repairs are delivered.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, monitor and record the condition of ground engaging tooling (G.E.T) and wear package materials on machinery attachments for all open pit mining equipment.
• Maintain high levels of housekeeping at all facilities, equipment and company vehicles.
• Identify and report parts, materials and other resources required to complete allocated tasks.
• Carry out general welding repairs and light fabrication work on mining machinery and other plant and equipment as required.
• Replacement of ground engaging tooling (G.E.T) as required.
• Replacement of wear package material on machinery attachments.
• Monitor and record wear rates of wear package materials on buckets, blades and bodies.
• Assess, plan and supervise engineering projects to be completed by contractors.
• Attending and assisting with breakdowns of the mining fleet and ancillary plant as required.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely at all times.
