About the role

As a Driller Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the driller and the drilling team in recovering core samples for our diverse clientele across New Zealand. You will be part of a hardworking crew that values camaraderie, teamwork, and mutual support.

Key Duties

• Assist the driller in the safe operation of drilling equipment.
• Conduct daily pre-start checks on equipment.
• Complete essential safety documentation and processes.
• Support routine maintenance of drilling equipment.
• Help with loading and unloading heavy vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness of drill rigs, vehicles, equipment, and tools.
• Assist in setting up, dismantling, and relocating rigs as needed.
• Perform other related tasks as required.
