OverviewServiceman - Open Pit Mining Maintenance.

Due to an internal promotion, our Macraes Open Pit workshop team is seeking a Serviceman.

This role is responsible for safely and efficiently performing daily servicing (fueling and lubrication) and planned maintenance of all mining machinery and ancillary plant / equipment under the control of the open pit maintenance workshop.

The successful applicant will demonstrate professionalism and quality workmanship to ensure cost-effective maintenance and repairs.ResponsibilitiesMaintain high levels of housekeeping of all facilities, equipment, and company vehicles.Apply Contamination Control methodologies for all work undertaken.Record and report usage of all components, parts, and other resources on work-order job cards.Plan and perform servicing of all mining, ancillary and support plant.Provide assistance to the fleet maintenance technicians and other workshop personnel.Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) specified for equipment or tasks and be involved in the development and review / revision of procedures when required.QualificationsFull and Current Driver Licence; ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.Previous experience in the servicing, repairs and maintenance of heavy machinery.Similar experience in industries such as forestry, agriculture and road transport carrying out similar work will be considered.Previous experience with operating heavy plant and equipment is an advantage.Additional InformationResidential role, live and work in the Otago region, NZ.7 on / 7 off, day / night shift roster.Competitive salary + benefits.Discounts on retail and services.Free Southern Cross Healthcare and Life Insurance.Living Our Values recognition program.Onsite Physiotherapist and nurse suite.Free transport to work.Study assistance.Access to OceanaGold Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
