Location :
The Remarkables Ski Area
Employment Type : Full Time, Permanent
Roster :
4 days on, 3 days off, 40 hours a week.
Summer : Usually Monday through Thursday but can vary with project coverage
Winter roster : Same three days off but must have flexibility on work week as we are a 7-day operation.
About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Head of Department, the primary role will be the maintenance of our Arial Ropeways and Surface lift Conveyors.
This consists of 3 detachable chair lifts, 1 fixed grip and 4 conveyor carpets.
As a secondary duty you will be expected to help with the maintenance on our vehicle fleet.
This consists of Pisten Bully Groomers, Loader, Digger, Telehandler, Trucks, Utes, Side by Sides and Skidoos.
Also, you will have the freedom to get involved in general base building and ski area maintenance.

Skills and Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering or Fabrication background or similar, with NZ recognised Trade Cert's or Qualified Diesel mechanic or equivalent
Hold a NZ driving licence
Have knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical and 24vDC electrical systems repairs
Experience with heavy industrial equipment would be advantageous
Working at heights and rigging qualifications would be advantageous
