Job Description

Pullman Auckland is looking for a Maintenance Technician to assist the Engineering team in the day-to-day operation of the maintenance requirements of the hotel. This diverse role encompasses varying degrees of trade including painting, building maintenance, or general handyman duties.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Director of Engineering and Assistant Maintenance Manager in maintaining safe working practices while overseeing the building, plant, equipment, fixtures, and fittings. This helps protect the assets and ensures a functional, pleasant, and safe environment for all guests, contractors, visitors, and employees.
• Carry out painting tasks as required, including touch-ups, wall repairs, and full repaints.
• Liaise with the Director of Engineering and Assistant Maintenance Manager regarding all work in guest rooms and public areas to ensure out-of-order areas are brought back to use as soon as possible.
• Complete all tasks where possible within a 15-minute time frame of receiving the request.
• Report back to the Manager on Duty or Front Office the completion or delay of any guest-related task.
• Suggest improvements to service or procedures and log and inform the Department Manager of any service or system problems.
