Job duties
Knows proper function, operations, maintenance and cleaning of various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer
Checks food and ingredients for freshness to ensure the quality
Prepares and cooks food in the menu
Seasons food according to recipes or customers' need
Portions, arranges, and garnishes food to the required standard
Estimates expected food consumption and organizes preparation
Assists in planning new dishes
Keeps a sanitised and orderly environment as per kitchen sanitation guidelines
Ensures all food and other items are stored properly
Meets with customers to ensure a great meal experience
Has a positive attitude regarding the job and communicates with management and fellow crew
Follows cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
Trains other kitchen staff and apprentices
Pay rate : minimum $
Guaranteed hours of work per week : minimum of 30 hours per week.
Requirements for the job
At least 2 years of relevant work experience
Full training will be provided
Be physically fit
Full time availability
No criminal record
Candidates need to be NZ citizens / residents
