They're what we stand for, who we are and how we act.What you will be doingWe are seeking a skilled Civil Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering Services team at Auckland Airport.
In this full-time, permanent role, you will deliver both planned and reactive civil maintenance services across the airport precinct.
The position involves working both night and day shifts during runway closures within the same week, with a requirement to be available for on-call duties.
The starting pay rate is $27.04 per hour, with opportunities for progression to higher rate of $30.63 within the team once deemed competent in core tasks.We offer great benefitsLife and income protection insuranceFree car parking (while you work and travel!)Shift Allowances on top of base salaryOvertime rates and Night ratesYour key responsibilitiesUndertake preventative, corrective and / or responsive maintenance workCarry out regulatory inspections and manage critical sparesConduct asset preventative and predictive inspectionsManage contractors on site and ensure all records are up to dateConduct first response to airfield pavement faultsDelivery of the preventative maintenance scheduled tasksEngaging with internal stakeholdersWork with other team members to undertake pavement maintenance tasks such as asphalt patch repairs, concrete repairs, drill & spike, epoxy injection and various other maintenance tasksBeing able to work during the runway closuresAdhere to all health and safety and maintenance procedures and processesWhat you'll bring to the roleAt Auckland Airport, we are a busy hive of activity, and a lot of what we look for is how you would align with our AKL values All In | Tatou tatou – How we feel, Know How | Kokiri Tahi – How we think and Let's Go | Karawhiua – How we act.Minimum 5 years' experience in Civil Trade, roading and construction related roles.Leadership skills with the ability to influence, combined with the ability to build strong networks with key stakeholders.Well-developed skills as a team contributor, with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively at different levels.NZQA Level 1 Traffic Management (desirable but not compulsory)Full Class 1 and 2 NZ Manual Driver's licenseForklift license and traffic management (desirable but not compulsory)Good verbal communication skillsA positive can-do attitudeApply todayIt's our collaboration and passion that keep everything together.
