Overview

Hutt International Boys\' School Wellington (HIBS) is a leading Y7–13 state integrated day school for boys in the Wellington region, situated in Trentham, Upper Hutt. We are committed to providing top quality education with a reputation for outstanding academic achievement. Established in 1991, HIBS has excellent facilities and maintains small class sizes (maximum 24 students per class). The school has no international students and enrolment is in high demand, with a cap of 650 local boys.

Position

Teacher of technology — Full time, Permanent. Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher. The role covers Technology and involves working with wood, metal and other materials on a broad range of projects including product design, engineering and electronics. An ability to teach DVC would be an advantage. Please state areas of expertise and experience. The position commences at the beginning of 2026.

• Work as part of a team across junior and senior levels.
• Teach technology with emphasis on wood, metal and other materials, and projects such as product design, engineering and electronics.
