We are a dynamic, multicultural school in Upper Hutt, seeking a teacher - design (DVC) to work within our busy digital and design technologies department, with the ability to teach all levels of the curriculum. Applicants must be able to teach architecture and product design topics. Please state your specialist subjects.

The ideal candidate will be a well-qualified enthusiastic teacher who has excellent classroom management skills and embedded IT in their teaching practice, joining an innovative and successful department.

Our department comprises of exciting, forward-thinking teachers who are constantly involved in school wide curriculum development and innovative pedagogy advancement.

Applicants must hold a current NZ practising certificate. Experience in teaching the NZ Curriculum is essential. If qualified overseas, please provide your NZQA international qualifications assessment with your application.

Responsibilities

• Teach design and technology across all levels of the curriculum, with the ability to teach architecture and product design topics.
• Leverage embedded IT in teaching practice and contribute to innovative pedagogy within the department.
• Engage in school-wide curriculum development and ongoing professional learning as part of an innovative team.
