Packaging Assistant – Behemoth Brewing CompanyWe're looking for a motivated Packaging Assistant to join Behemoth Brewing Company!

In this role, you'll be crucial to our packaging operations, assisting with everything from canning and packing to quality control and warehouse duties.

You'll need to be detail-oriented, able to perform repetitive tasks, and happy to help with a variety of tasks as needed.

A valid NZ Forklift license is a must.Details of the Role : Visually inspect and weigh cans on the packaging line to ensure qualityPlace cans into cardboard casesPack cans into 6pk boxes or sleevesStack full cases onto pallets for storage.

Approx 12 kgs / caseWrap pallets tightly for storage and shipping.Help maintain cleanliness of packaging warehouse by cleaning on and around the canning line before / during / after operationsMove pallets full of cans into the cooler using a manual pallet jackAssist canning line operator with loading empty cans and lids to be applied to cansStickering / labelling boxes before assemblyAssisting in hand bottling projects.Pack, weigh and label completed items for shipment or storageFollow all company guidelines regarding packaging to ensure items arrive at their destinationIdentify and dispose of defective items before they are shipped to customersProperly use packaging materials and machinery, including tape machines, labellers and conveyorsAssist in keeping complete records of all materials that go through the warehouseWork as a member of the team to implement continual improvement in packaging quality and output, reporting to the packaging lead and operations managerHelp maintain a safe working environment reporting any incidents or near misses.Assist with miscellaneous warehouse duties and cleaning.Willingness to help out with other tasks as needed and assigned.Assist in regular stock takes (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) to verify accuracy of finished goods and packagingParticipate in the re-pack process as and when requiredThe VOICE of New Zealand's brewing industry.Brewers Guild of New ZealandPO Box 1023Christchurch 8140New Zealand
