We are seeking an exceptional learning support coordinator to champion inclusive education, build capability across our school, and create a strong, culturally responsive support network for our students, staff, and whanau.ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate the provision of learning support across the school.Work collaboratively with teachers to identify student needs, plan targeted programmes and monitor progress.Ensure every child receives the guidance and resources they need to achieve their potential by working closely with students, teachers, whanau, school leaders and external agencies.Provide support to individual students or groups of students when targeted or tailored supports are needed.Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff and families to create a supportive learning environment.Support learners with diverse learning and behavioural needs.Organise and oversee the professional learning of learning assistants.Work with the leadership team to strengthen school-wide learning support systems and contribute to creating inclusive practices for all learners.Qualifications and attributes we would love to hearBuild strong responsive relationships with children and their whanau.Have sound understanding of the NZ Curriculum and high expectations for all akonga.Are excited about working collaboratively with colleagues in a learning community.Have a great sense of humour and love to learn.The applicant will accept the condition to support, uphold, and be positively involved in the Catholic special character of the school.
