The Department of Conservation have recently made some big changes to help our people and operations work better together—so we can achieve the conservation outcomes we're aiming for.

As part of this, we've introduced a new role : Site Support Officer.

Reporting to the Operations Advisor, this role plays a key part in delivering essential administrative support to help ensure the efficient and safe functioning of DOC facilities across the region.

The position will be focussed on :

Supporting the Site Lead to ensure smooth and safe operation of DOC premises, acting as the main site contact for office and facility issues

Being the go-to person for general office management

Support key site health and safety tasks such as safety / fire drills, site inductions, regular checks and ACC safety audits

Note : This role is 0.5 FTE.

While the preferred working days are Monday to Wednesday, there is some flexibility.

Experience in a broad administration support, facility or fleet management role

A detail-oriented problem solver with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with ease

The salary range for this position is $65,070 - $75,981 (pro rata), with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
