The Role

We’re looking for a detail-focused Finance Operations Specialist to join our Operational Finance team. In this part-time (20 hours) role, you’ll support the Operational Finance Manager in delivering efficient and accurate finance operations, while also assisting the wider Financial Control team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth finance processes, supporting system management, and stepping in as a backup for the Assistant Accountant when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable invoices, liaise with suppliers, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
• Support the delivery of the Group Insurance Programme for Southern Cross Health Society.
• Assist with finance system maintenance, including updates to approval workflows, running reports, managing user profiles, and supporting month-end processes.
• Act as a backup for the Assistant Accountant, including preparing GST returns, bank reconciliations, journal postings, and cash flow forecasting.

About You

You’ll bring a solid background in finance operations, strong systems knowledge, and the confidence to work across multiple areas of the finance function.
