- We are looking for an experienced nurse withGeneral Surgery experience who will enjoy becoming part of our dynamic andsupportive team.This fast-paced challenging environment willoffer you variety in your day as you will rotate between the ward and SurgicalAssessment Review Area (SARA), working closely with all the general surgicalteam.Rostered and rotating shifts based on asocial roster - Monday to Sunday - Morning 0645 - 1515, Afternoon 1430 -2300 and Nights 2230 - 0700.

- Acute General Surgery cares for patientsundergoing acute general surgery and a range of oesophageal, gastric andbiliary / pancreatic surgery including advanced laparoscopic procedures.
Ouraverage length of stay is 3.8 days.
We are a a busy inpatient ward and useCCDM (Care Capacity Demand Management) and acuity variance indicators to assessthe nurse to patient ratio.SARA (Surgical Assessment Review Area)provides an area for acutely unwell patients to be assessed, investigated andan appropriate plan of care to be initiated.
This 12-bed unit is a fast pacedunit with an average length of stay of 7hours.
We see on average 730 patientsper month.
We accept direct GP-SARA admission as well as admission from ourEmergency department, private and rural Hospitals.
