TDS Project Management Limited is a construction and project management company based in Rotorua. We specialize in building and managing residential and commercial projects. We are currently looking for some skilled carpenters to join our team in Rotorua.
Location : Rotorua – You must arrange your own transportation to the construction sites (we reimburse travel costs).
Employment Type : Full-time, permanent
Hours : 30-50 hours per week (minimum of 30 hours guaranteed), Monday to Saturday
Hourly Rate : $25 to $30 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
Start Date : Immediate start upon job offer
Tasks include :
- Study Specifications : Analyze drawings and specifications to determine necessary materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
- Material Selection : Choose appropriate timbers and materials; prepare layouts for construction projects.
- Cutting and Assembly : Accurately cut materials and assemble components, ensuring precise nailing of cut and shaped parts.
- Framework Erection : Erect frameworks, panelised systems, and roof framing; lay sub-flooring and floorboards, ensuring all structures are true and level.
- Installation : Nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding, door frames, and window frames.
- Structural Assembly : Assemble prepared wood to create structures and fittings ready for installation.
- Joint Cutting : Skilfully cut wood joints to ensure strong, seamless connections
- Repair Work : Perform repairs on existing fittings and structures as needed.
Requirements :
At least two years of relevant work experience or a relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification is required. Relevant fields include, but are not limited to, carpentry, building, construction, or any other related area.Ability to arrange your own transportationProficiency with hand tools, power tools, and carpentry techniquesStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDrug-free with a clean police certificateApplicants must have New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand open work visa.
