Location : Katikati, Bay of Plenty

Pay Rate : $30 to $35 per hour

Hours of Work : 30 – 40 hours per week

Key Requirements

Minimum 2 year of experience

Or

Level 4 or higher  qualification

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate orchard workers carrying out kiwifruit crop maintenance tasks.

Monitor and support seasonal activities such as pruning, thinning, canopy management, and harvesting.

Ensure work is performed to industry standards and orchard requirements.

Train and guide new and seasonal staff in horticultural techniques and safe work practices.

Check plant health, identify pests and diseases, and report issues to management.

Operate and maintain horticultural tools and equipment safely.

Maintain accurate records of orchard work, staff performance, and production activities.

Ensure compliance with health & safety and hygiene regulations at all times.

Assist with planning daily work schedules and allocating tasks to team members.

Monitor stock levels of tools, protective equipment, and orchard supplies.

Report orchard progress, crop quality, and labour needs to management.

Support continuous improvement in orchard practices to maximise productivity and fruit quality.
