Learning support coordinator

Maraetai Beach School is seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to join our team in 2026 as our Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) . Situated on the sunny Pohutukawa Coast on the whenua of Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki, our school offers a vibrant, community-focused environment.

This is a full-time, permanent, fully-released position for a registered teacher holding a Tūturu | Full Practising Certificate.

The LSC will play a pivotal role in promoting inclusive practice across our kura, working collaboratively with our DP (SENCo), staff, whānau, and external agencies to ensure students with additional learning needs are supported to reach their potential and thrive.

• Exceptional relationship-building skills with students, staff, whānau, and the wider community.
• Ability to engage effectively and collaboratively at a school leadership level.
• Strong communication, organisational, and influencing skills to work effectively across the school.
• Deep commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive practice that upholds the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and reflects an understanding of Te Ao Māori.
• Ability to use data to inform practice and improve outcomes for our priority learners.
• Professional practice that meets the standards for the teaching profession.
