Learning Support Coordinator

Maraetai Beach School is seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to join our team in

• as our Learning Support Coordinator (LSC).

Situated on the sunny Pohutukawa Coast on the whenua of Ngai Tai ki Tamaki, our school offers a vibrant, community-focused environment.

This is a full-time, permanent, fully-released position for a registered teacher holding a Tuturu | Full Practising Certificate.

The LSC will play a pivotal role in promoting inclusive practice across our kura, working collaboratively with our DP (SENCo), staff, whanau, and external agencies to ensure students with additional learning needs are supported to reach their potential and thrive.

Key Responsibilities and Attributes

Proven experience in supporting and including children with diverse learning needs within a classroom and school-wide setting.

Exceptional relationship-building skills with students, staff, whanau, and the wider community.

Ability to engage effectively and collaboratively at a school leadership level.

Strong communication, organisational, and influencing skills to work effectively across the school.

Deep commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive practice that upholds the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and reflects an understanding of Te Ao Maori.

Ability to use data to inform practice and improve outcomes for our priority learners.

Professional practice that meets the standards for the teaching profession.

Qualifications

Registered teacher holding a Tuturu | Full Practising Certificate.

New Zealand teaching experience.
