We're looking for a creative and technically skilled graphic designer who can hit the ground running.
Reporting to the General Manager - Communications, within the Office of the Chief Executive, and working closely with the Senior Graphic Designer you will be part of a customer-centric team providing strategic and operational marketing and communications support across Stats NZ.
In this role you will work collaboratively across the business to ensure all design work meets the needs of our audiences and is aligned to our brand.
You'll complete a wider range of graphic design work from annual reports and corporate publications to marketing and promotional material to infographics, data visualisations and even animations or video.

To be successful in this role you'll be able to demonstrate your :
design industry experience, including an up-to-date portfolio of impactful physical and digital graphic design
experience in producing creative to portray complex information or data
a strong understanding of the design and print production process and experience in managing this from brief to production
proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, primarily InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, and Microsoft 365
a solid practical understanding and awareness of accessibility in design
ability to work quickly, under pressure and with a strong attention to detail
the ability to deliver to a design brief and communicate your ideas to relevant stakeholders
knowledge and experience, or willingness to learn about Te Tiriti, Tikanga, Te Reo and Te Ao Maori
examples of relationships you've built and how you demonstrate customer centricity.
