    Mo te turanga mahi | About the role

    This role reports to the Deputy Secretary - Partnerships, Investments & Enablement (PIE) and is a member of the business group leadership team and actively contributes to the business group's strategy, work programme and business plans.

    In this role, you will support the Deputy Secretary through the provision of high-quality advice, managing issues on the Deputy Secretary's behalf and identifying ways to facilitate solutions and delivery.

    As part of the leadership team, you will help build cohesion as a way to drive excellence.

    You will actively coordinate across the business group and act as a conduit across business group leadership teams and with centralised enabling functions.

    You will work closely with the PIE Programme Manager and business partners in an open and collaborative way so that you are keeping across the big picture (strategies / frameworks) and translating these into meaningful, realisable and tangible work plans.

    • Significant experience building and sustaining trust-based relationships with decision makers and stakeholders
    • Significant experience delivering effectively through others and working in cross-organization teams
    • Demonstrated ability influencing across senior leadership teams
    • Demonstrated experience managing budgets (even if financial delegations sit elsewhere) and strong understanding of the Public Finance Act)
    • Proficient in designing and managing fit-for-purpose governance processes and systems
    • Significant demonstrated experience identifying and managing risks
    • Excellent communication skills, particularly written and visual
    • Demonstrated political savvy
    • Demonstrated experience in driving effective change across large business groups, including through standardising and embedding common processes into practice
    • Demonstrated experience delivering improvements to processes and practices that create efficiencies
    • Experience setting and reporting on measures to drive effectiveness
    • Ability to manage and prioritise conflicting demands
    • Whanuitanga Utu a-Tau | Salary range

      Salary range for this role is $142,185 to $172,853 pa.

      Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
