Lead CPENG Engineer to head an established Team of 8 Staff

Overview

The position offered is that of initial Co-Team Leader of GMDesigns Consulting Group Ltd (GMDCG Ltd), pending the Principal's retirement. This role provides an opportunity to become a shareholder within the firm for all staff under the current Business Ownership Model. All applicants must hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering with CPENG registration or be applying shortly for CPENG in NZ.

Role and Responsibilities

The CPEng applicant would need a well-rounded education in various design engineering areas, with training in Geotechnical, Structural, and Civil disciplines refreshed as needed. The GMDesigns team currently includes five engineers and three Rivet CAD professionals who offer Structural and Architectural CAD proficiency at a high level. Primarily office-based, the role oversees design workflow in the office with site visits for preliminary investigations and construction monitoring. The GM Designs team covers structural, geotechnical, and civil projects with an in-house CAD team. This team-leader role offers a remuneration package up to NZ$200,000 including a dividend / bonus system historically exceeding this amount.

Remuneration and Benefits

Salary up to NZ$200K with potential dividends / bonuses as part of the compensation package. Historically, total compensation has exceeded this amount depending on performance and company profitability.
